Building Shelters for Widows

Hope for the Destitute provides housing for widows in the community, many of whom are raising their orphaned grandchildren. These women often live in inadequate homes that cannot withstand harsh weather. By working with local community members, the organization helps build strong, lasting shelters—often standing for more than ten years. These homes not only provide safety and stability but also bring dignity and hope to the widows and the children in their care.

We offer a special giving level for $1,800 to sponsor the building of a shelter.  Through practical assistance and Christ-centered care, we help meet their immediate needs while reminding them that they are loved and not forgotten. Our goal is to bring the hope of Christ into their lives while providing a foundation for a safer, more stable future. Just as a strong shelter provides protection and security, God’s love offers an unshakable refuge and strength for every family we serve.
