Hope Academy
More than 8 million people in Kenya (East Africa) live in abject poverty. Those most affected are young children left uneducated and uncared for, leading to increased illiteracy and a continual circle of poverty. Hope for the Destitute, established Hope Academy to provide educational, medical, spiritual, and physical care to these children.
We aim to break the cycle of poverty and illiteracy by equipping children with the education, faith and life skills needed to become witnesses in their homes and leaders in their communities.
Our mission does not end in the classroom. We also provide spiritual care and outreach to unchurched children and adults through midweek chapel services, Bible studies, pastoral counseling and Sunday Lutheran worship.
OUR TRUE PASSION
Sharing Jesus in Kenya’s Schools
Our mission reaches children in Kenyan schools with the message of Jesus, giving students the opportunity to learn about His love while receiving the education and support they need to build a brighter future.
